Guadalupe Chacon

Guadalupe Nunez Chacon, 61, passed away August 10, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County from complications of diabetes. Lupe was born April 19, 1954 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Lorenzo Nunez and Josefina Chacon. Lupe received her certification as a registered nurse from Florencia Medical School in Chihuahua and worked for many years caring for people in and around Chihuahua. In 2009 Lupe moved to Rawlins after the death of her husand. She lived with her daughter, Veronica and worked at several different businesses doing housekeeping and cooking. Lupe loved dancing at local fiestas, playing bingo, the lottery, and helping others.She will be remembered as a loving and involved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, y un gran mujer (a great woman). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pedro Flores Hernandez; and grandson, Victor Morales, Jr. Surviving to honor Lupe's memory are 3 sons; Pedro (Eugenia) Flores; Cesar (Gloria) Flores; Lorenzo (Patti) Flores; as well as 3 daughters; Estella (Victor) Morales, Cynthia (Julio) Cano, (all of Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico) and Veronica (Ed) Steinke of Rawlins. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; Walter, Pedro, Carlos, Pedro Jr, Cesar, Valedia, Lupita, Cynthia, Julio Jr., Carter, Nicholas, and Ashley; as well as one great grandchild, Isabella, born August 7, 2015 in Rawlins. Funeral services will be held in Chihuahua, Mexico with her three sons, Pedro, Cesar and Lorenzo and three of her grandsons, Carlos Flores, Walter and Pedro Steinke serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Morales, Julio Cano, Ed Steinke, Cesar Flores Gonzales, Pedro Flores Gonzales and Julio Cano, Jr. Interment will be in the La Colina Cemetery in Chihuahua, Mexico.
